Remember how I said he was going to be shut down for the year? He pitched three innigs for St. Lucie last night after a six day layoff, alowwing no runs on three hits, one walk, and three strikeouts.
The Mets have opted for Guerra to pitch in relief from here on out. This way the workload isn’t so great that his shoulder will be strained but they will still be able to work with him. So, nothing to worry about here. He is as fine as he can be right now with his injury, but the Mets certainly have no intentions of shutting him down.
