Kevin Mulvey on the Nats Radar

No, this isn’t anonther analysis, but an interesting trade rumor popped up in the Washington Post today on the possibilty of a Mets-Nats deal. Turns out the Nationals were heavily scouting Mulvey in his last start with the B-Mets.

Scouting Director Dana Brown and special assitant to the general manager Chuck LaMar were in Binghamton Thrusday [...]

Corey Coles Promoted to AAA

After compiling a solid  .296/.352/.358 line at AA Binghamton, B-Mets outfielder Corey Coles was promoted to AAA New Orleans.
For those that don’t know, Coles is one of those players that has fallen victim to just about every unjust way the Mets treat minor league players in their system, including as a collegiate player getting sent [...]

Mets Prospects Available at the Deadline

With the Mets likely to look for a power bat and/or arm in the bullpen, I thought it might be time to look at what prospects the Mets would have to offer.
Lastings Milledge: No longer considered a prospect, but I’m sure everyone would agree that he’s pretty close to it. The Wilpon’s sensitvity might work to [...]

Nick Waechter Throws a Gem

On the brink of losing his spot in the Cyclones rotation, Nick Waechter went five inning, allowing just one run on six hits, accompianed by nine strikeouts and no walks.
Even with the injury to Todd Privett, the Cyclones have had their share of starters step up, from J.J. Leaper, (2.14 era.) Eric Niesen, (0.87) Nick [...]

Alumni Roundup: Kazmir shuts down Bombers

Alumni Roundup is a new feature on Cyclones Nation, written by the Cyclones’ own juggling and unicycling peanut vendor, El Juglar.  With 6 former Cyclones now playing in the majors, it can be hard to keep up.  Alumni Roundup will provide weekly stats, as well as random notes on some of our favorite former players.

Wow… Kevin Mulvey!

I’m thinking about renaming this blog “The Official Kevin Mulvey Blog,” mainly because he’s one of those guys that’s so tough to finding a conclusion about. I mentioned two days ago how I’d try to shift the attention away from these types of oft-mentioned guys. Much good that did. However, as a followup to an [...]

Mike Pelfrey….. again.

I think it’d be in the best interest of this blog that I try and shift some of the attention away from Pelfrey-Gomez-Milledge, since inevitably, that’s been a popular topic for this entrire year. So, here’s just a passing thought.
I was reading over an article from Project Prospect back in March which contemplated how soon [...]

Cyclones Juggler

Ok, you’re dying, (or at least hoping) for some content, and after watching this video above, I found it quite amusing. The video is of Kyle Peterson, who currently works as a juggling and unicycling peanut vendor at Keyspan Park, and graciously sended me the link for it. Kyle alos writes his [...]

Blog Back Up

I apologize for the lack of content, which one week ago had nothing to do with the tech. difficulties I’ve encuntered with my computer over the past few days. I’m interested in updating this blog regulary, and I hope I can finally get back on track. if you’re interested in guest blogging, drop me a [...]

Raul Reyes Heating it Up

Arguably Brooklyn’s only classical prospect coming into this year, following a double today, Reyes has quitely raised his average to .243. After an abysmal June, (.184/.238/.316) Reyes has been on fire in July. (.318/.429/.682)
The ironic thing that I fine about Reyes is that my first hand thoughts were that he was the type of athletic [...]
