Despite being expected to be in Spring Training this year, 20 year-old Patt Maat, a native of Australia, had several visa problems, but he’s finally on schedule, debuting for the GCL Mets yesterday, going one for four with a double.

Over the last month or so, the anti-saber crowd might actually be willing to call Philip Humber, “lucky.” His era. has been well over five, has allowed 51 hits over 42.1 innings, and yet he as a 5-1 record.
